MMP are currently supporting a London based Housing Association who are looking to recruit a Senior Building Surveyor.
The successful individual will be responsible for collecting and collating property and risk management data, for residential, non-residential and supported housing properties. In this pivotal role, you will ensure our client properties meet statutory and regulatory standards. Your work will also help to drive the long term investment needs, and define the future workload of the business.
You will be responsible for the following:
• Carry out stock condition surveys, energy assessments and HHSRS assessments on site
• Collate, process and critically analyse survey information
• Identify and specify the measures to resolve other non-compliance issues under relevant legislation.
• Identify building defects, latent defects, asbestos risks along with the specification of make safe and /or remedial works.
Your degree, or HND (in Building Studies, Building Surveying or similar discipline), will be supported by direct stock condition survey and data collection experience. In addition, a strong working knowledge of HHSRS and the Decent Homes Standard is required.
This role will be based on site and working from home.
