MMPConsultancy are looking to recruit a Data & Insight Officer to join apublic-sector organisation based in London on a permanent contract.

 

The organisationis looking to become a more data-driven organisation and are therefore seekinga Data & Insight Officer who is passionate about Data. We are seeking adetail-orientated, results driven and motivated individual who can produceamazing business outcomes from data. The role of Data & Insight Officer willsuit someone who thrives on having wide ranging responsibilities and wants totake ownership of specific projects to improve data insight for decision makingwithin data services.

 

Duties:

Develop and utilise data on customers and homes, providingmeaningful analysis and insight to help meet its business objectives andprovide value to teams

Identify reporting opportunities to help the organisation toutilise data to meet its business objectives and working with staff at alllevels to ensure that the reports add value

Participate in service reviews, ensuring that sufficient customerintelligence/performance information drives the reviews and that allstakeholders are involved, including residents

Provide meaningful analysis and management of customer ‘journey’,satisfaction, access, and preference data as required in a clear report formatand disseminate to a range of audiences

Monitor quality and consistency of the data provided for internaland external performance management reporting.

Investigate and resolve issues/amend data where inaccuracies areidentified or ensure that resolution is made by the appropriate staff/teams

Undertake analysis of data as required within specific systems toderive insight and value from our data

Co-ordinate user requirements in relation to all housing systems,working with users across the business to assist the identification ofdevelopment priorities and the system ‘fixes’ highlighted by users.

Produce regular management reports as required about the overallquality of business data and recommend solutions to improve it.

Work with Data Services Manager in preparing and producingaccurate and timely statutory and regulatory returns and benchmarkingperformance data.

Keep up to date with sector reporting requirements and bestpractice

Prepare papers and materials for the Executive Team, Board andSenior Management team as required

 

EssentialSkills & Experience:

Previousexperience of working as a Data & Insight Officer

Stronganalytical and problem-solving skills – use data to provide insights for businessdecision making

Experiencein providing complex data analysis and trend interpretation to financial andnon-financial managers

Proficientin SQL – with experience with at least one data analysis and visualisation toolsuch as Power BI

Advanced Excelskills, including proficient user of various types of reporting tools

Knowledgeof good practice relating to data modelling (3NF, BCNF), data cleansing and enrichment
