Job Description

A new opportunity has arisen for a Plumber to work for a national contractor on a permanent basis. You will be required to complete reactive maintenance within properties and communal areas in East London. The successful Plumber must be willing to travel however you the aim will be to keep you as local to your home as possible.

.Pay Rate:
* £36,000 per annum plus call out (Potential earnings of £42k - £45k)
* Call out - £12.50 per day (standby) and £25ph (per call out)
* Mandatory - 1 week on call per month

The successful Plumber:

* Complete plumbing repairs and maintenance within occupied and void properties as well as associated works
* Be customer focused
* Have a plumbing qualification
* Have social housing experience
* Have a DBS Check

    • Maintain accurate records of all work, including before and after photos.
    • Leverage expertise in related trades and collaborate with other teams.
    • Use IT equipment (e.g., PDAs) for job monitoring and work allocation.
    • Ensure compliance with regulations and health and safety standards.
    • Collaborate with maintenance team members, sharing knowledge and assisting with tasks.
    • Protect work areas with coverings and move furniture to minimise damage.
    • Maintain regular contact with Technical Supervisors and report issues promptly.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • CCN1, CEN/WAT, CPA1, CKR1, HTR1.
    • CMMDA1, MET1, PART P (desirable)
    • Gas Safe registered.
    • Excellent understanding of Health and Safety regulations and procedures.
    • Proven ability to deliver high quality construction projects and efficient output to meet client expectations.
    • Able to be flexible in approach to work and working hours including attending out of hours call out work on a rotational basis.  
    • Excellent communications skills, ability to build positive working relationships with a range of clients, contractors and employees.
    • Capability of taking initiative and working independently.
    • Personal resilience and the ability to work effectively under pressure and to deadlines.
