The Role
Working closely with the ESG Director, you will manage a team of professionals, ensuring that sustainability initiatives are seamlessly integrated across HR, Social Impact, Marketing, and our internal and external Operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver innovative programmes that contribute to environmental safeguarding, contractual performance and environmental compliance.

Responsibilities Include
Strategic Leadership & Governance:

  • Develop & Drive Strategy - Lead Our Clients Sustainability strategy to reach Net Zero by 2050 and be Carbon Neutral by 2030, ensuring alignment with evolving environmental legislation, company goals and client KPIs.


Operational Excellence (What You Deliver):

  • Enhance Sustainability Engagement - Lead the carbon collection process, working to build both Axis and CLC's carbon footprint, improving the granularity and utilising the data to encourage decarbonisation efforts.


Financial Accountability (What You Own):

  • Budget Management - Oversee financial planning and resource allocation for sustainable initiatives.


Customer Focus (Who You Impact):

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Planned Works Project Manager to oversee and successfully deliver a comprehensive, long-term housing refurbishment and improvement program. This role is vital in supporting the team and the broader organizational objectives, particularly within the Housing Revenue Account Capital Programme. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the successful and timely completion of planned works, meeting all necessary regulatory requirements, and driving the long-term improvement of housing stock.
This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the quality of housing and the lives of residents. A dedicated and experienced individual is essential to manage the complexities of this role and deliver on all objectives.
Key Responsibilities:


  • Project Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of planned works projects, from initial planning and scheduling to final delivery.

  • Program Delivery: Ensure the successful delivery of a housing refurbishment and improvement program, in line with the Housing Revenue Account Capital Programme objectives.

  • Compliance: Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and specifications.

  • Coordination & Communication: Collaborate effectively with internal teams, external contractors, and stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of projects.

Skills & Experience Required:


  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in housing refurbishment, construction, or a similar sector.

  • Strong understanding of housing improvement programs and capital works, particularly within the context of Housing Revenue Account Capital Programmes.

  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, health and safety standards, and compliance procedures.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered to specification, on time, and within budget.

  • Experience in liaising with contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Disrepair Surveyor

Up to £41.65 per hour

Rate: £41.65 per hour (Umbrella)

About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Building Works Surveyor (Disrepair Surveyor) to deliver essential surveying services, addressing disrepair maintenance issues across a diverse property portfolio. The role will involve supporting the Repairs Partnering team to ensure contractors, consultants, and partner agencies deliver high-quality work in compliance with standards, specifications, schedules, and costs.
Key responsibilities include conducting frequent site visits, keeping detailed digital records, and generating comprehensive reports. You'll play a key role in maintaining up-to-date records in the asset management database, ensuring accurate documentation and tracking of disrepair cases.
This role is deeply committed to maintaining a resident-focused approach while managing disrepair issues. You will work closely with the Building Safety Operations and Building Safety Compliance teams to ensure the safety and regulatory compliance of the housing portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:


  • Disrepair Management: Assess and address disrepair maintenance issues across the portfolio.

  • Collaboration: Provide support to the Repairs Partnering team, ensuring compliance with quality standards, specifications, schedules, and costs.

  • Record Keeping & Reporting: Maintain detailed digital records and generate reports based on frequent site visits. Ensure the asset management database is kept up to date.

  • Resident Focus: Provide a resident-focused approach to managing disrepair cases and related complaints.

  • Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with Building Safety Operations and Building Safety Compliance teams to ensure housing is safe and compliant with regulatory standards.

  • Advisory Role: Provide expert advice, guidance, and support to colleagues, customers, and stakeholders.

  • Complaint Management: Respond to and investigate enquiries and escalated complaints effectively.


Skills & Experience Required:


  • Proven experience as a Building Surveyor or Disrepair Surveyor, ideally within a local authority or housing association setting.

  • A strong understanding of disrepair regulations and compliance standards.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear, authoritative advice and guidance.

  • Experience in maintaining asset management databases and producing detailed reports.

  • A collaborative approach, working effectively with internal teams and external partners.

  • Knowledge of building safety and regulatory compliance is essential.

Quantity Surveyor (Planned Works)

Up to £55000.00 per annum


Role: Quantity Surveyor Opportunity
Salary: £55,000
Location: East London


Our client is currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team. You will support our client based in East London, specialising in planned works and reactive works within the Social Housing and Educational sectors.

You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of the social housing planned maintenance projects.

Duties:

  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility studies for social housing and educational and maintenance and planned works projects.
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to ensure accurate cost forecasting and project progress.
  • Contribute with contract negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring value for money and quality.
  • Oversee cost control, monitoring, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Carry out weekly valuations with rational and documentation to be presented and agreed to by the client.



Qualifications & Experience:

  • Extensive prior experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
  • Proven experience in planned works within the social housing sector.
  • Able to build strong relationships with excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Sound knowledge of M3NHF schedule of rates (essential).
  • Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying.
  • Proficient in the management and administration of JCT form of contracts.
  • Member of an accrediting body (desirable).



Working Arrangements:

  • Full time (36 hours per week), Monday to Friday.
  • East London
  • Hybrid - 3 days per week in office

MMP Consultancy is currently sourcing for Building Surveyor for an initial interim contract with a Public-Sector organisation in Northwest London.

Working within social housing to manage surveying duties including Minor and Major works. Holding high standards of quality, time and value for money.

Title: Building Surveyor
Salary: £40 per hour - Inside IR35
Location: Northwest London
Contract: Rolling Contract

Duties:

  • Delivery of surveying service, being able to pre inspect properties and create specification of works which is fit for purpose for tenants.
  • Ensure contractor engagement and management in the delivery of works provided.
  • Post inspection of works complete to guarantee a good quality of service.
  • Deliver fit-for-purpose, safe and good quality properties to tenants on behalf of the social housing entity.
  • Prioritise tenants with value for money and efficiency delivery of works.
  • Provide defect-free period of at least 6 months after works.
  • Manage the auditable and compliance information required, ensuring the system is completely updated and all invoices are paid when appropriate.
  • Work with partners to set, coordinate, track and ensure completion of voids with other services to get things done for the customer which meet or exceed customers' expectations.
  • Dealing with unacceptable contractor performance ensuring all issues are remedied.
  • Maintain up to date records and provide monthly statistical and qualitative information to the Voids and Maintenance Manager in respect of service performance indicators and progress against targets and budgets. Attending contractors' monitoring meetings as required to give performance feedback.
  • Ensure records are kept up to date and information circulated to all relevant stakeholders including contractors, Lettings, Property Services, Housing Needs, Neighbourhood Services, Rent Accounting, Adaptations and Regeneration teams.


Desirable Qualifications

  • HNC, HND, BTEC HND or higher, in a building discipline, or over 5 years hands on experience of related repairs surveying/ construction from a trade background.
  • Relative experience of building maintenance in a local authority or other registered social landlord.
  • Experience of working to strict deadlines within a busy multi agency setting
  • Experience in the management and administration of domestic building repairs
  • Demonstrable experience of controlling costs expenditure of maintenance works

Up to £320 per hour Inside IR35

MMP Consultancy is currently seeking an experienced Disrepair Surveyor to work on an interim contract with a public sector housing organisation in North West London. £320 per day

£320 per day (LTD Inside IR35). Required to travel and attend site and office.

Key Duties

  • Inspection reports: findings, causation, remedials, conclusions, and photos-SORs to be utilized.
  • Drafting of Scott's Schedules.
  • Focus on case management and closure.
  • Strong knowledge of legal disrepair protocols, including the Landlord and Tenant Act (Section 11), Section 9A, and the Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act.
  • Post-inspection tracker updates and completion.
  • Responses to MP inquiries, Councillor complaints, and Ombudsman cases.

Experience / Qualifications

  • HNC, HND, BTEC HND or higher, in a building discipline, or over 5 years of hands-on experience in related repairs surveying/ construction from a trade background.
  • Experience managing legal disrepair cases.
  • Good understanding of damp and structural issues.
