MMP is working with one of our development and construction consultancy based in East London who are seeking for a new Senior Associate Building Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis. This opportunity will be paying around £65,000 Benefits.

The appointable candidate will have knowledge around disrepair & damp & mould with RICS being preferred however not essential.

Role Summary:

Senior Associate position to support senior management in the delivery of projects and management/supervision of Junior staff. Able to manage clients and workload unaided and look for opportunities for identifying new work streams.

Responsible For:
* Client liaison on existing projects.
* Take the lead on new projects.
* Assist any graduates on a daily basis.
* Develop new relationships (potentially bring existing relationships)
* Additional technical support.
* Reporting to senior management

Job Function:

* Providing quality building surveying services and helping to create a positive, collaborative and professional working environment.
* Playing an instrumental role in winning new work and new business opportunities.
* Undertaking a wide range of building surveying duties.
* Being accountable for the commercial success of projects placed under your control.
* Controlling workload and resources.
* Supporting Associate Directors and Directors in the day-to-day running of the business.
* Provide guidance, leadership and technical expertise to team members.
* Taking an active role in the APC programme by being a named supervisor or counsellor and conducting
* Mock interviews for those employees who are undertaking the APC process.

    • Proven track record of supply chain management within a commercial project management environment.

    • Full clean manual UK driving Licence.

    Role: Quantity Surveyor Opportunity
    Salary: £55,000
    Location: East London


    Our client is currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team. You will support our client based in East London, specialising in planned works and reactive works within the Social Housing and Educational sectors.

    You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of the social housing planned maintenance projects.

    Duties:

    • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility studies for social housing and educational and maintenance and planned works projects.
    • Conduct site visits and assessments to ensure accurate cost forecasting and project progress.
    • Contribute with contract negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring value for money and quality.
    • Oversee cost control, monitoring, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Carry out weekly valuations with rational and documentation to be presented and agreed to by the client.



    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Extensive prior experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
    • Proven experience in planned works within the social housing sector.
    • Able to build strong relationships with excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Sound knowledge of M3NHF schedule of rates (essential).
    • Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying.
    • Proficient in the management and administration of JCT form of contracts.
    • Member of an accrediting body (desirable).



    Working Arrangements:

    • Full time (36 hours per week), Monday to Friday.

    • Hybrid - 3 days per week in office
