Job Description

MMP Consultancy is seeking a Deputy Director of Estates and Facilities on behalf of an NHS Trust based in Essex. This is a permanent position paying £107k per annum, with the ideal candidate starting as soon as possible. Previous experience within the NHS at Director level is non-negotiable.

This is a senior role in the organisation that has the overarching day-to-day and long-term strategic responsibility for the safety, security and management of the built environment. Building and developing a team to deliver will be a critical success factor to support them to deliver the following duties and responsibilities:

* Lead the development and implementation of the Trust's estate strategy.
* Manage capital projects, including redevelopment and major infrastructure planning.
* Oversee all aspects of estates management, facilities management, and commercial services.
* Ensure statutory compliance, governance, and risk management for the built environment.
* Manage substantial budgets and drive cost improvement programmes.

Qualifications and Experience:
* Degree in a relevant discipline; post-graduate qualification preferred.
* Chartered professional registration/accreditation (e.g., RIBA, CIOB, RICS, CIBSE).
* Significant senior management experience in estates and facilities within a large organisation.
* Proven experience in managing major change, financial control, and strategic planning.

Property Surveyor

Up to £36 per hour

MMP is working with one of their Housing Association Clients in Southend of Sea who are seeking for a new Property Surveyors to join the business with immediate effect. This role will be covering a patch between Waltham Forest, Epping & more local sites.

This will be a long-term Interim role paying £36 per hour.

Duties:
* To carry out pre-inspections, building and stock condition surveys to identify defects and future investment requirements, including the preparation of detailed reports, specifications and cost estimates where necessary to ensure the appropriate remedial works are undertaken.
* To ensure all planned, cyclical and responsive repair works are valid and appropriate, provide value for money and are completed within the allocated budget provision, ensuring contract administration good practice, timely processing of variations and all appropriate contract documentation and accurate keeping of records pertaining to work in progress.
* To undertake post inspections of completed works to ensure quality, compliance with the Schedule of Rates, value for money and statutory compliance. Ensuring compliance with contractual term and driving performance to achieve KPI's targets and expenditure within the designated budget provision.
* To assist the delivery of internal policies, procedures and agreements and look for ways in which to continuously improve the service to achieve value for money and increased resident satisfaction.
* To follow our clients Health and Safety policies and procedures to ensure, as far as is practicable, your own safety and that of others in the workplace. You may be required to undertake specific Health and Safety roles such as Fire Warden or First Aider as part of your duties
* To co-operate with the duty holder as required by current Asbestos Regulations including complying with the Asbestos Management Plan, reporting incidents, passing on information about the presence of asbestos, attending training, project managing surveys and abatement works. Including undertaking Asbestos management surveys and updating the Asbestos data base as necessary to maintain statutory compliance.

Property Surveyor

Stock Condition Surveyor

Up to £44343.60 per annum

Title: Stock Condition Surveyor (1 Year FTC)
Location: Essex (2 Days per week)

About the Job:

MMP has an exciting opportunity has arisen in our clients Asset Management Team for a Stock Condition Surveyor. This is a 12-month fixed-term role working 35 hours per week.

You should have experience in conducting stock condition surveys to occupied and void properties and communal areas as well as a good understanding of the risk factors which include the health and safety associated with Stock Condition Survey related works. A good understanding of risk factors. You should have significant experience in conducting stock condition surveys and a relevant professional qualification is essential.

The candidate should possess a good working knowledge of residential construction on both refurbishment and newbuild properties. Good IT skills which include the use of the Microsoft Office Suite are essential and the ability to manage stock condition data bases and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

* Undertake comprehensive Condition Surveys on our clients housing stock, other properties/land; and external environments to support the development of future programmes of work.
* Ensure our clients Asset Management Data is appropriately maintained, and that condition data is accurate and timely.
* Undertake assessment of health and safety issues using the Decent Homes HHSRS framework. Raise remedial works and improvements identified at survey.
* Undertake asset assessments of our clients housing stock using the Decent Homes framework.
* Assist in the research and provision of any data that is required to ensure the Asset Management Database is regularly updated.
* To attend meetings, workshops, and other events in accordance with the duties and responsibilities. Some of these may be outside normal working hours.
* To maintain the security and confidentiality of all data held on computer systems within the section.
* To attend training courses and other events for personal development in accordance with our clients policy.
* To undertake any other duties which are considered appropriate for the post.
