MMP Consultancy are looking to recruit a Community Liaison Manager on a Temporary basis, based in North West London.

As a Community Liaison Manager, you will be the primary point of contact between the organisation and the local communities where the new developments are situated. Your role is to foster positive relationships with residents, local authorities, schools, and other stakeholders, ensuring the developments integrate seamlessly into existing communities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive community communication plans for each development, acting as the "face" of the organisation to residents and stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with key community figures, including local councillors, MPs, and local authority officers.
  • Create and adapt Community Development Plans for each project, aligning them with project goals and evaluating the outcomes and impacts.

We are looking for an enthusiastic professional to play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of works programmes. Working closely with Contract Managers you will assist in resident consultation and involvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the management of resident consultation and involvement in planned works programmes, minimising disruption to residents whilst helping to ensure that the programme does not fall behind schedule and costs remain within budget
  • Developing and delivering effective communication with residents, liaising closely with contractor staff to assist in the smooth running of the programmes and the ongoing building management
  • Contribution to community engagement plans and initiatives to counter joblessness and financial exclusion

About the Role

We are working on behalf of a London-based local authority to recruit a Income Officer. This is an excellent opportunity to manage a designated patch of properties, ensuring rental income is maximised while providing outstanding customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling rent accounts, minimising arrears, and supporting tenants to sustain their tenancies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of rent accounts, serving as the first point of contact for tenants regarding rental payments, arrears, and financial support.
  • Maximise income collection through early intervention, direct engagement, and proactive communication, including phone calls and home visits.
  • Ensure compliance with the council's escalation procedures and statutory requirements related to rent arrears.
  • Establish and monitor rent repayment agreements while maintaining a customer-focused approach.
  • Advise tenants on Housing Benefit, Universal Credit, and other financial assistance to optimise income collection and mitigate financial risks.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies, including debt advice services, social care teams, and legal professionals.
  • Prepare and submit court documentation, attend possession hearings, and provide support for evictions when necessary.
  • Provide training and guidance to new team members, interns, and colleagues on best practices and income recovery strategies.

Role Overview:

To provide expertise and lead in the operational management of compliance control, information maintenance and monitoring with regard to the servicing, inspection and follow up regimes of remedial works across all statutory and non-statutory compliance work- streams within remit, liaising with the Performance team to ensure up to date adherence is understood at all times.

To work effectively and collaboratively across all external stakeholders to ensure statutory and non-statutory obligations, planned works contract delivery and associated consequential remedial works, inclusive of building and engineering disciplines, are being met and ensure safe running of associated asset related life safety systems and equipment.

To manage the M&E Engineer and maintain working relationships with the senior management team and operational delivery teams to promote confidence in the agreed assurance mechanisms and raise the level of awareness and understanding of statutory compliance within our clients homes.

Key Deliverables

1.Ensure that all relevant compliance service, testing and inspection processes within remit are carried out correctly, remedial/follow on works are undertaken on a risk basis; that the service, testing and inspection process remains current and fit for purpose, and all records and certification are appropriately recorded. Keep up to date with changing legislation, standards and technology. Assist in the updating of specifications and documents.
2.Implement and operate robust processes and procedures in order to ensure the legal obligations in regard to property compliance are managed and met; and to ensure all identified risks are mitigated in the most efficient manner, making best use of available resources to keep all residents safe.
3.Work in collaboration with H&S Manager and the Building Safety Manager to ensure risks around health, safety and compliance are identified and risk mitigation strategies are developed and implemented to maintain property compliance and our regulatory obligations are met.
