Job Description

MMP Consultancy are looking to recruit a Health and Safety Advisor on a Permanent Basis, based in Hertford.

Responsibilities:

· To provide support to the Management in promoting a positive Health & Safety culture and working towards continual SHEQ improvements

· To monitor work systems to ensure that the company meet the highest quality standards

· To report to the Operations Manager on the performance of the quality management system and any need for improvement

· To help managers to implement minimum standards, monitor compliance and provide appropriate reports when required

· To advise line management and assist with the implementation of new or existing SHEQ related legislation, rules and company standards to include fire prevention, health and safety awareness training, site inspections of company and contractor's sites

· To conduct SHEQ Audits and Inspections at Company offices and Project sites to ensure legal compliance and identify potential Health Safety and Environmental Hazards and risks

· To investigate accidents, environmental incidents and third-party complaints

· To liaise with official and professional bodies

· To maintain an up to date working knowledge of legislation, codes of practice, guidance etc., and disseminate formally and informally to applicable persons

· To ensure on-going compliance with ISO 9001, 140001 and ISO 50001 standards by auditing reviewing and reporting;

· To set up, drive and provide feedback from monthly Health & Safety Committee meetings.
