Job Description

MMP Consultancy are seeking a Catering Manager for a NHS Trust in South Hertfordshire. The contract is 3 months with a possible extension paying £50000 per annum.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all food is presented and served in line with Trust standards using innovation in the method, presentation and food service.
  • Monitor and maintain consistent food standards and quality across all areas and during all stages of production.
  • To understand and having a working knowledge of all current Health and Safety, HACCP and Food Safety Legislation and to be conversant with the rules contained therein.
  • To work with Catering management team in maintaining the current 5* ratings from local authorities in Food Safety Compliance
  • Working to and in line with NHS Catering Standards and moving the Trust towards Exemplar status within catering services

To provide a professional catering service, managing the production of food within the Food Services department, including menu development

  • To ensure that set standards, procedures and processes to produce high-quality food are adhered too and comply with all internal and external food production regulations and legislation.
  • To supervise, develop and support all members of the team across all catering sites within the Trust footprint.

Essential criteria

  • Have you a minimum Level 3 Food Safety Certification
  • Have you a Level 3 HACCP certification
  • Advanced food Allergen certification

Desirable criteria

  • Have you a Level 4 Food certification

  • Have you managed a team of a minimum 15 team members
  • Have you developed a training schedule for team members
  • Experience in having sole control of a Business P&L
  • Experience in developing and creating a HACCP Policy
  • Experience in creating SOP's

    MMP Consultancy are seeking an Accounts Apprentice to join our client in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, based in Hertford.

    Responsibilities:

    · Reporting to the Financial Accountant.

    · You will develop accountancy skills in double-entry bookkeeping and basic costing, as well as an understanding of purchase, sales and general ledgers.

    · Learn to use accounting software and to develop the professional skills and behaviours needed to contribute effectively to the workplace.
