MMP Consultancy is seeking a Health and Safety Manager based in Hertfordshire to play a crucial role in ensuring the effective management of health and safety, including fire safety, across all sites within a prestigious private school. The role is permanent with a salary goes up to £45,000 per annum, plus benefits.
Responsibilities:
* Advise on health, safety, fire, and environmental matters.
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and health and safety guidelines.
* Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and dangerous occurrences.
* Oversee the maintenance of up-to-date accident reporting procedures.
Qualifications/Experience Required:
* Relevant Health and Safety Qualification/s (NEBOSH National Diploma/General Certificate).
* Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an educational setting.
* Membership of relevant professional bodies (CMIOSH, IIRSM).
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Proactive, self-motivated, and flexible with a "can-do" attitude.
* Experience with COSHH and RIDDOR
