Job Description

MMP Consultancy are currently recruiting for an Multi Trade Joiner/Carpenter on a temporary ongoing basis on behalf on a Social Housing contractor based is Skelmersdale. This role will be paying £19.29 per hour with a company van and fuel card supplied.

Working hours: Mon - Fri 8am - 17:00pm

There are two roles: one on the voids team and one on day to day reactive repairs.

Job Summary
The ideal candidate will be responsible for various joinery and carpentry repairs and maintenance as well as multi trade repairs within social housing properties both occupied and voids.

Experience
- Proven experience as a Joiner or Carpenter
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment
- Hold a relevant trade qualification within joinery/carpentry or multi trade repairs

- A basic DBS check and Asbestos Awareness course will need to be carried out if successful.

Roofer

Up to £19.29 per hour Van & Fuel card

MMP Consultancy are currently recruiting for a Roofer to join a social housing contractor paying £19.29 per hour CIS with a company van and fuel card supplied. This role will be working within the responsive repairs team and will be covering the Skelmersdale area.

Working Hours Mon-Fri 8am-17:00pm with a half hour break.

Job details:

Key Accountabilities will include:

  • Undertake repair/renewal roofing works
  • Communicate effectively with the scheduler, residents and line manager
  • Work safely and in compliance with Health & Safety and safeguarding requirements
  • Remain up-to-date with technical and legal requirements of skill area
  • Work in partnership with other operatives to complete repairs when required
  • Complete work sheets detailing work undertaken and materials used after each job undertaken, via a PDA

Hold a trade qualification in Roofing

A basic DBS check will need to be carried out if successful and a UKATA OR IATP Asbestos Awareness course will be required.

Damp & Mould Operative

Up to £18 per hour

MMP Consultancy are looking for Damp and Mould Operatives to identify, treat, and prevent damp and mould issues within social housing properties, ensuring safe, habitable living conditions for tenants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect properties for damp and mould, diagnosing the cause and assessing severity.
  • Remove mould and apply anti-mould treatments.
  • Carry out damp proofing and minor repairs related to leaks or ventilation.
  • Advise tenants on preventing damp and mould.
  • Ensure health and safety compliance and maintain accurate records.
  • Provide excellent customer service and work collaboratively with the housing team.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in damp and mould treatment or property maintenance.
  • Knowledge of building structures, damp causes, and prevention.
  • Health & safety awareness and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Full driving license is required

Pay Rate:

  • £18.00ph (Umbrella Rate)

Hours:

  • 37.5 hours per week (Mon to Fri)

Location:

  • West of Essex

Bulk Driver

Up to £15 per hour

I am currently looking for a Bulk Driver on a contract basis for a housing provider based in North West London. My client is looking for an immediately available candidate.

Pay Rate:

  • Bulk Driver - £15.00ph (umbrella rate)


Working Hours -

  • Monday to Friday (36 hours per week)


Duties

  • Empty bins
  • Clear rubbish
  • Drive company vehicle (unable to take home)

*Use company vehicle to pick up and load rubbish (you will not be able to take the vehicle home)
* Clean, sweep and mop areas
* Empty bins
* Clear rubbish
* Clear areas of weeds
* Inspect and keep clear electrical intake cupboards, landings and stairwells

It is essential that the successful candidate has:
* Safety boots
* Knowledge of health and safety
* Standard DBS (may be in progress)
*Full UK Manual Driving License

Experience Required:
* Zero. Just a positive, can do attitude

Contracts Manager

£40000.00 - £52000.00 per annum Car Allowance Benefits

A great new opportunity has arisen for a Contract Manager to join a main social housing contractor on a permanent basis based in Walsall, West Midlands area.

The permanent salary is from £40,000 - £52,000 per annum Car Allowance and Bonus . You will be required to Manage and oversee Supervisors and a team of trade operatives and subcontractors whilst working closely with the Senior Management team.

2 X Technical Supervisor

Up to £45000.00 per annum

MMP have two new exciting Technical Supervisor opportunities to join a property and facilities group based in East London.

1. Technical Supervisor - Damp & Mould
2. Technical Supervisor - Legal Disrepair

As a Technical Supervisor within their wider repairs & maintenance division, you will supervise a team and be responsible for overseeing and monitoring the performance of trades operatives and where applicable any specialist sub-contractors, monitoring closely compliance, performance and client satisfaction.

About the Role
Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, the Technical Supervisors will work collaboratively with other colleagues across the business and within the designated service (either Disrepair or D&M) from first report through to final invoicing to ensure smooth service delivery through effective day to day management. You'll be responsible for people management of a team, so people management experience is a must.

Responsibilities include:

  • Liaising with the works scheduling team and sub-contractors to ensure accuracy of job information, timely report submissions, suitable allocation of work, and invoicing.
  • Carrying out pre and post inspections to ensure a good standard to work.
  • Assisting the Service Delivery Manager (SDM) in managing the contractors to ensure excellent service delivery, continually looking for process improvements to improve efficiency, costs, and meet agreed targets.
  • Supporting the SDM by providing data, reports and MI (e.g. for quality control and budgetary data).
  • Stakeholder and people management: performance monitoring, attend monthly sub-contractor meetings, liaising with internal and external customers such as legal departments, client representatives, local authorities etc.
  • Managing the day-to-day administration of the team.
  • Attending client/stakeholder panels, consultations, and other meetings.
  • Pro-actively engaging with and acting a point of contact for customers, ensuring all queries and complaints are resolved swiftly.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Trade specific qualification(s) e.g. in plumbing, carpentry, electrical, or a repairs sector common trade.
  • Good IT literacy (including MS Office programmes (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and ability to use relevant job management systems (knowledge of accuserv system would be advantageous)
  • Specialist knowledge/qualifications/qualifying experience of Damp & Mould and/or Legal Disrepair is essential.
  • Prior experience in a Supervisory role (ideally within a responsive repairs/minor works environment).
  • Prior management of specialist sub-contractors would be preferred.
  • Full clean UK driving licence

Salary

  • Starting from £45,000 (DOE) benefits

Working arrangement

  • Full Time - 36 hours per week
  • Location - Dagenham
  • Travel - The role will involve travel to sites within and around the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, as such a full clean UK driving licence is required.
