Job Description

MMP Consultancy is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Estates Manager on behalf of an NHS Trust based in North West London. The rate of pay is £31ph via an umbrella company with an estimated weekly take home of £766 after tax deductions.

Responsibilities:

* Ensure the Trust provides a safe Estates service, optimizing opportunities for high-quality patient care.
* Manage and supervise in-house, agency, and contract staff, including contractors for maintenance, repairs, and alterations.
* Lead and empower team members to perform to high standards, providing specific training and development.
* Develop and implement areas of the annual business plans for estate management, operations, and service provision.
* Plan long-term maintenance strategies, maintain records, and ensure compliance with legislation and Trust policies.
* Identify ways to improve and modernize estates services through best practices and service delivery innovation.
* Manage risk, deal with complaints, technical inquiries, and incidents, and support the Trust's QIPP Programme.

Qualifications/Experience:

* Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or related subject, or significant experience (5 years) in a similar role in the NHS.
* Management experience in an Engineering, FM, or Building environment within a large organization.
* Good interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills (written and verbal).
* Membership of a professional Estates, Engineering, or FM Chartered organization (desirable).
* Understanding of acute hospitals' engineering systems, fire safety, and Health & Safety.
