MMP Consultancy is currently seeking an experienced Technical Fire Compliance Manager for a permanent contract with a public sector housing organisation in London Up to £80.3k total package.
Key Duties
* To ultimately support the fire safety and wellbeing of customers and residents and the safety of the buildings they occupy.
* The post holder will be part of the Development team reporting into the Director of Design, Technical and Innovation and will deliver first class specialist and technical service to the business providing assurance of practice and standards for statutory compliance.
* To work with the Senior Health and Safety manager, the Group Building Safety Team, and Development Directorate.
* To provide design advice for new developments, making sure that the project conforms to all relevant
* statutory requirements and our Employer's Requirements for fire safety.
* The post holder will be key to delivering on assurance of fire policy and process by fulfilling a proactive position
* on fire standards and compliance through auditing, review and external stakeholder liaison.
* The post holder will be the technical expert and lead for compliance.
The post holder will be responsible for providing fire safety advice to technical teams in delivery of key risk operations. They will be proactive in monitoring senior technical staff and management and will be subject matter experts to provide the assurance of the practices of operational staff in:

Job Description
* European Diploma or Equivalent in Fire Safety. (E)
* IFE Graduate Membership. (E)
* Experience of working in a construction, building or facilities management role and environment, preferably experience in the social housing or residential management sector. (E)
* A demonstrable understanding of fire safety, particularly application in social housing. (E)
* A solid understanding of housing construction, building pathology and how fire systems work in design construction and assets. (E)
* An understanding and experience of record keeping for compliance including the ability to maintain and update accurate data logging, numeric and photographic records in a digital environment. (E)
* A sound knowledge of the requirements of legislation, regulation, policy and best practice relating to fire safety and compliance or knowledge of limitations and when to seek professional support. (E)
* Strong interpersonal skills including influencing and developing relationships with stakeholders, duty holders, and external agencies. (E)
* Able to provide in depth reviews and reports to senior people in the business. (E)

The post holder will work as part of the Housing Operations Team - Property and be responsible for the technical service provision for the Housing Service in accordance with the our clients agreed policies, procedures and working practices, delivering a first class service that is value for money and customer focused.
* To work as part of the Housing Operations Team - Property dealing with all aspects of void property inspection, mutual exchanges, insurance claims, structural diagnosis, building defects, property adaptations and management, major works to properties, assisting with the delivery of the Choice Based Lettings Scheme in relation to Accompanied Viewings and Routine Inspections of properties.
* To support the team in planning budgets, identifying efficiencies in response and planned works and to ensure there is a robust method of reporting that is being adhered to.
* To represent Housing Operations - Property whilst keeping a good relationship with other council departments and elected councillors and with work colleges.
* You must embrace a fast moving and changing environment, ensuring at all times that standards are not compromised either in quality, cost or customer satisfaction.
* The tasks will involve assessing customer satisfaction, reviewing and analysing KPI`s from contractors and drafting the relevant reports, Analysing trends and contributing to improving customer satisfaction.
