Job Description: We are looking for a reliable and physically fit individual to join a removals team as a Lifter and Shifter on a temporary basis. This role involves working alongside a member of staff who will act as both a driver and work leader. You will be responsible for helping clear vacated properties, ensuring items are safely and efficiently moved to designated locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the removal and clearance of furniture, household goods, and other items from vacated properties.
- Safely lift, carry, and load items onto vehicles.
- Work under the supervision of the driver/work leader to ensure tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
- Ensure all items are handled with care to avoid damage during the removal process.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Communicate effectively with the team to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy items.
- No prior experience necessary, though previous experience in removals or manual labour is an advantage.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
- Good communication skills.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
- A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to contribute to the team's success.
