Job Description

I am currently looking for a Grounds Maintenance Operative on a contract basis for a housing provider based in North West London. My client is looking for an immediately Grounds Maintenance Operative who has experience using all gardening and grounds maintenance machinery. The successful candidate must have a full UK manual driving license.

Pay Rate:
*£15.00ph (umbrella rate)

You will be required to:
* Ensure the grounds are maintained, including, strimming, mowing and hedge cutting
* Maintain and use vehicles, plant and equipment
* Ensure communal areas are clean and safe

It is essential that the successful candidate has:
* Safety boots
* Knowledge of health and safety
* Standard DBS

list Multi Trade Carpenter

Up to £25 per hour

MMP is currently recruiting for a Multi Trade Carpenter to join a Social Housing contractor based in South and North London on a temporary to permanent basis, offering £25.89 p/h Umbrella Van & Fuel Card

The successful Trades Operative will be required too:

  • Complete repairs and maintenance within occupied and void properties as well as associated works
  • Be customer focused
  • Work towards tight deadlines
  • Have social housing experience


Pay Rate:

  • £25.89ph (Umbrella)


Hours:

  • 39 hours per week (Mon to Fri)


Qualifications Required:

  • Recognised trade qualification i.e. City and Guilds/ NVQ (certificate must be available to provide)
  • Asbestos Awareness (may be completed anytime prior to start date)
  • Basic DBS Check


You will be supplied with:

  • A van (Full UK Manual Driving License Required, maximum 6 points)

2 X Technical Supervisor

Up to £45000.00 per annum

MMP have two new exciting Technical Supervisor opportunities to join a property and facilities group based in East London.

1. Technical Supervisor - Damp & Mould
2. Technical Supervisor - Legal Disrepair

As a Technical Supervisor within their wider repairs & maintenance division, you will supervise a team and be responsible for overseeing and monitoring the performance of trades operatives and where applicable any specialist sub-contractors, monitoring closely compliance, performance and client satisfaction.

About the Role
Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, the Technical Supervisors will work collaboratively with other colleagues across the business and within the designated service (either Disrepair or D&M) from first report through to final invoicing to ensure smooth service delivery through effective day to day management. You'll be responsible for people management of a team, so people management experience is a must.

Responsibilities include:

  • Liaising with the works scheduling team and sub-contractors to ensure accuracy of job information, timely report submissions, suitable allocation of work, and invoicing.
  • Carrying out pre and post inspections to ensure a good standard to work.
  • Assisting the Service Delivery Manager (SDM) in managing the contractors to ensure excellent service delivery, continually looking for process improvements to improve efficiency, costs, and meet agreed targets.
  • Supporting the SDM by providing data, reports and MI (e.g. for quality control and budgetary data).
  • Stakeholder and people management: performance monitoring, attend monthly sub-contractor meetings, liaising with internal and external customers such as legal departments, client representatives, local authorities etc.
  • Managing the day-to-day administration of the team.
  • Attending client/stakeholder panels, consultations, and other meetings.
  • Pro-actively engaging with and acting a point of contact for customers, ensuring all queries and complaints are resolved swiftly.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Trade specific qualification(s) e.g. in plumbing, carpentry, electrical, or a repairs sector common trade.
  • Good IT literacy (including MS Office programmes (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and ability to use relevant job management systems (knowledge of accuserv system would be advantageous)
  • Specialist knowledge/qualifications/qualifying experience of Damp & Mould and/or Legal Disrepair is essential.
  • Prior experience in a Supervisory role (ideally within a responsive repairs/minor works environment).
  • Prior management of specialist sub-contractors would be preferred.
  • Full clean UK driving licence

Salary

  • Starting from £45,000 (DOE) benefits

Working arrangement

  • Full Time - 36 hours per week
  • Location - Dagenham
  • Travel - The role will involve travel to sites within and around the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, as such a full clean UK driving licence is required.

Communal Cleaner

£14 - £16 per hour

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cleaner / Cleaning operative to work for a housing provider throughout Worcestershire and North Gloucestershire on a temporary basis paying £13 - 14. p/h (Umbrella). The Successful candidate will be available on short notice and have a Full UK Driving Licence and access to their own vehicle

You will be required to:

* Maintain a high standard of cleaning across the housing stock
* Ensure communal and void cleans are completed to a high standard and within the timeframe
* Be prepared to react to responsive cleaning requests
* Cleaning of Void & Occupied properties.
* Cleaning of Communal areas Kitchens.
* Good communication skills.
* Clean Full UK Driving License.
* DBS
* Access to own Vehicle (Milage will be paid)

Pay Rates

* £13-14 p/h - Umbrella
* Mileage paid at 45p per mile

Electrician

£24 - £25 per annum van fuel card

A great opportunity has arisen for an Electrician to join a contractor based in Croydon and South London, on a temporary basis, paying £24-£25 p/h Van & Fuel Card.
The successful candidate will be available within short notice and have social housing experience. You must have a driving license as you will be supplied with a company van.

You will be required to:
* Carry out repairs and maintenance within social housing properties, voids and occupied
* Carry out electrical repairs EICRs and complete NICEIC Certificates
* Ensure works are completed at a high standard within given time frames
* Carry out works allocated by appointments
* Participate in 24 call out when required

Qualifications:

* City & Guilds and or/ equivalent e.g NVQ
* BS 7617: 18th Edition
* 2391 or 2395

Contracts manager

Up to £30.88 per hour Company car

MMP Consultancy has a great new opportunity for a Contract Manager to join a main social housing contractor based in Crawley on an temp to perm basis paying £30.88 per hour with a company car supplied.

Pay rate: £30.88 per hour (CIS or Umbrella).

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 17:00pm

You will be required to Manage and oversee Supervisors and a team of trade operatives and subcontractors whilst working closely with the Senior Management team.
