MMP Consultancy is currently seeking an experienced Disrepair Surveyor to work on an interim contract with a public sector housing organisation in North London. £42 per hour (Damp and Mould Experience preferred).
Required to travel and attend site and office.
Key Duties
* Manage disrepair cases within the organisation in their entirety to ensure a seamless delivery of service.
* Undertake feasibility reports for Disrepair claims, recognising what liabilities are under the council and what are under the tenant.
* Create specifications of work to rectify any defects or repairs.
* Managing works from specification through to post inspection
* Organised and proactive
* Able to manage their own calendar and caseload.
Experience / Qualifications
* HNC, HND, BTEC HND or higher, in a building discipline, or over 5 years of hands-on experience in related repairs surveying/ construction from a trade background.
* Experience managing legal disrepair cases.
* Good understanding of damp and structural issues
* Social housing experience (not essential) -
* Largely office based.

The role is interim, taking over for a member of staff who is leaving, with a potential option of permanent.

Primary Job Function
Electrical Inspector overseeing emergency lighting and fire alarm installations within our street property stock.
Key responsibilities
* Ensure all aspects of electrical works carried out on site by contractors meet the exacting requirements of the project, technical brief, specification and drawings and legislation requirements.
* Maintain detailed diaries and site notes on a daily basis.
* Establish and maintain good channels of communication with client officers, contractors, residents, colleagues and stakeholders.
* Undertake adequate site inspection and monitoring on all assigned projects and covering for colleagues from time to time as required.
* Provide the highest standard of on-site quality assurance and audit inspection.
