MMP Consultancy is currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineering role on behalf of a university based in the southeast on a Permanent contract.

Hours: 36 hours per week - Monday to Friday
Pay: A range of up to £54,000.00 per annum - (depending on experiance)
Responsibilities:
- Maintain all electrical systems, including statutory inspection and testing where required, to meet current legislative requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all University Health and Safety and Environmental systems and procedures and take an active part in the development of these policies.
- Carry out multi-skilled tasks such as mechanical isolation and fault finding, minor carpentry, and redecoration repairs linked to maintenance work.
- Keep up to date with electrical-related legislation and developments, attending courses to improve knowledge and passing necessary exams to maintain professional accreditation where relevant.
Requirements:
- Recognised High Voltage experience/training.
- NEBOSH/IOSH General Certificate in H&S or equivalent
- Professionally qualified with a relevant degree/postgraduate qualification, plus broad demonstrable management experience in similar or related roles

Estates Officer - Electrical
MMP Consultancy is seeking an experienced and proactive Estates Officer (Electrical) to join an Estates and Facilities team within a hospital in Southwest London.
You will be professionally accountable for the Trust's estates maintenance service and lead a cross-functional team to ensure compliance with relevant standards and legal requirements.
This is an interim contract paying £30ph umbrella over a 37.5 hour working week, with the view of going perm after 6 months.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the maintenance and operation of electrical infrastructure (LV & HV) and associated systems.
- Act as the Trust's Authorised Person for Electrical Infrastructure, Lifts, and Water systems.
- Manage budgets, ensure compliance with health & safety standards, and oversee reactive and planned maintenance.

Essential Criteria:
- Experience in managing building services maintenance at a supervisory level.

- Incorporated-level Engineer or equivalent professional membership (e.g., IMechE, CIBSE).
- Ability to interpret technical data and manage budgets effectively.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
Desirable Criteria:
- Knowledge of the implications of the Climate Change Act.
- Experience with LV and Medical Gases.
- Understanding of healthcare infrastructure.

Multi Skilled Engineer
MMP Consultancy is seeking two engineers, one to work shift hours 4 on 4 off and one to work 8-4 to work in central London for a private hospital. These are temp to perm contracts with an hourly rate of £26.33ph umbrella.
In this role, they will be responsible for carrying out maintenance and engineering tasks, both reactive and planned, across a variety of systems including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing. They will ensure all work is completed within agreed service level agreements (SLAs) and adhere to Safe Systems of Work (SSOW).
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical support in relevant disciplines and act as a Competent & Authorised Person when required
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers for quotes and materials
- Perform fault identification and rectification on systems and equipment
- Ensure high standards of maintenance and housekeeping across all plant and equipment
- Communicate effectively with the Estates team, ensuring tasks are completed within SLAs
- Escort contractors and assist with shift handovers
Qualifications & Experience:
- Full Apprenticeship in a relevant discipline (Mechanical/Electrical)
- C&G Level 3 qualification or equivalent
- Previous experience with M&E systems and CAFM systems
- CSCS or relevant trade card
- HTM and AP qualifications desirable
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks
- Proactive, with a flexible approach to work
