Job Description

I am seeking an Estates Manager on behalf of a prestige private school based in Ashford, Surrey. This is a permanent position paying £46,656 per annum plus benefits to start as soon as possible.

Candidates MUST live within a 40-minute drive of TW15 and have either NEBOSH or IOSH. Unfortunately, there are no exceptions to this requirement, so kindly review the journey before confirming your interest.

Candidates will also be required to drive the school minibus on occasion. If you do not possess a D1 licence, the school will fund your training to obtain one.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and maintain work schedules and ensure quality control of works completed

    • Ability to interpret technical data and manage budgets effectively.
    • Strong communication and organisational skills.

    Desirable Criteria:

    • Knowledge of the implications of the Climate Change Act.
    • Experience with LV and Medical Gases.
    • Understanding of healthcare infrastructure.
  • Multi Skilled Engineer

    MMP Consultancy is seeking two engineers, one to work shift hours 4 on 4 off and one to work 8-4 to work in central London for a private hospital. These are temp to perm contracts with an hourly rate of £26.33ph umbrella.

    In this role, they will be responsible for carrying out maintenance and engineering tasks, both reactive and planned, across a variety of systems including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing. They will ensure all work is completed within agreed service level agreements (SLAs) and adhere to Safe Systems of Work (SSOW).
    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide technical support in relevant disciplines and act as a Competent & Authorised Person when required
    • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers for quotes and materials
    • Perform fault identification and rectification on systems and equipment
    • Ensure high standards of maintenance and housekeeping across all plant and equipment
    • Communicate effectively with the Estates team, ensuring tasks are completed within SLAs
    • Escort contractors and assist with shift handovers

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Full Apprenticeship in a relevant discipline (Mechanical/Electrical)
    • C&G Level 3 qualification or equivalent
    • Previous experience with M&E systems and CAFM systems
    • CSCS or relevant trade card
    • HTM and AP qualifications desirable
