Roles & Responsibilities:
As part of a team responsible for small installation works and supporting operational maintenance of premises, you will undertake planned projects and reactive work on various systems to support the infrastructure and environmental control systems across all premises, ensuring that they are maintained and installed in a safe, efficient, and functional order.

You'll need good planning, organizing, and prioritizing skills, working at a senior level. As such, you will be expected to tackle more complex tasks, take on additional responsibilities, and communicate effectively at a senior level.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Maintain all systems, including statutory inspection and testing where required, to meet current legislative requirements.
  • Ensure failing plant or assets are reported to the Helpdesk and plant areas are maintained in good condition.
  • Deliver an effective and timely response to maintenance demands in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety and Environmental systems and procedures, actively participating in the development of these policies.
  • Ensure the use of equipment and materials in the delivery of maintenance services are appropriate and meet current legislative standards.
  • Keep up to date with related legislation and developments, attending courses and passing all necessary exams to maintain professional accreditation.
  • Carry out multi-skilled tasks, where relevant, such as (but not restricted to) mechanical isolation and fault finding, electrical isolations, minor carpentry, redecoration repairs linked to maintenance and small works.
  • Complete all administrative work associated with departmental management systems, including the completion of work records, timesheets, stores issues, estimates, and health & safety records. Utilize Building Logbook to record all maintenance visits and any relevant defective information and repairs. Report all defects immediately to the help desk for further action.
  • Must be computer literate and work well with computer/tablet systems.

    MMP Consultancy is looking for a Head of Corporate Facilities Management for a Local Authority in South London. Interim opportunity paying between £500 per day. - Inside IR35.


    Duties:
    We are looking to appoint an interim Head of Corporate Facilities Management (CFM). Experienced interim is required to cover the role on a temporary basis and lead CFM through its next phase of evolution. In practical terms, the assignment will include:

    • Leading the design and delivery of a new operating model for CFM
    • Finalising the strategy for replacing our outsourced FM provider (the existing contract ends in autumn 2026)
    • Playing a significant leadership role in our Corporate Real Estate Programme, which is focused on transforming the council's approach to managing and maintaining our estate
    • Leading the CFM team through a period of transformation and change
    • Strategic contract management of our outsourced provider

    Experience and Skills:
    We are looking for an experienced interim with:

    • A track record of leadership in facilities management, ideally within a local authority or similarly complex organisation

    MMP Consultancy is seeking a Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer to join a private hospital in Central London. The role involves carrying out installation, maintenance, and project tasks related to reactive, planned, and corrective works.

    They will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of building plant, systems, and equipment, maintaining high standards of customer service and safety. Candidates will ideally be multi-skilled on mechanical and electrical but with a mechanical bias.

    The rate of pay is £26.33ph via an umbrella company, over a 44-hour working week, which is an estimated take home inclusive of holiday pay of £793 per week. The working hours will be 7am - 7pm and 7pm - 7am working days and nights, 4 on 4 off.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform planned and reactive maintenance across Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, and other building systems.
    • Provide technical support, including Competent & Authorised Person duties.
    • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers, obtaining quotes and ensuring compliance with site requirements.
    • Ensure all tasks are completed within SLAs, with accurate updates provided.
    • Act as a point of contact for shift handovers and communicate effectively with the Estates team.
    • Escort subcontractors on-site and manage materials procurement.
    • Adhere to safety systems, risk assessments, and method statements.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • Completed full Apprenticeship in a Mechanical or Electrical discipline.
    • C&G Level 3 qualification (Mechanical or Electrical).
    • CSCS or relevant Trade Card.
    • Strong understanding of Electrical, Mechanical, and HVAC systems.
    • Experience with CAFM systems and Microsoft Office.
    • Previous healthcare or HTM experience is desirable.
    • Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
