MMP Consultancy currently have an opportunity for a Fire Project Surveyor to join a housing association. My client are based in Walton on Thames, Surrey and can offer flexible working.

My client are offering a salary of £50,000p/a Benefits.

A little bit about what we are looking for:
We are seeking a dedicated individual to assist the Senior Fire Improvement Works (FIW) Project Manager in overseeing the delivery of both active and passive fire improvement works, as identified through Fire Risk Assessments across all my clients properties. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with statutory duties, regulations, and policies.

Your responsibilities

  • Customer Service Excellence: Represent my client by delivering exceptional customer service, managing complaints, and ensuring a positive experience for all residents within the relevant service areas.
  • Collaborative Working: Partner effectively with the Building Services, Health and Safety, and Housing teams to address issues that arise during project delivery.
  • Inspection and Specification: Assist in the inspection of my clients properties to scope and specify fire improvement works in alignment with block fire risk assessments, Fire Safety Standards, and framework contracts.
  • Project Monitoring: Continuously monitor and inspect fire improvement works, ensuring they meet the specified standards, use certified materials, and are completed to a high quality.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Conduct Health and Safety checks during site inspections to ensure that both statutory and my clients requirements are upheld by contractor operatives and work practices.
  • Fire Remediation Support: Provide support to the Fire Remediation Team in inspecting and coordinating fire remediation projects when required.
  • Post-Work Inspections: Carry out post-work inspections to facilitate the handover of completed projects for monthly valuations.
  • Financial Management: Review and authorise work variations within your delegated authority, or escalate them to the Senior FIW Project Manager. Maintain meticulous records of all variations on the Keystone Planned Maintenance module, ensuring value for money through effective financial control.
  • Keystone Maintenance: Ensure that the Keystone Planned Maintenance module is actively used for the management and tracking of all fire improvement works, and update it following the completion of each project.
  • Contractor Collaboration: Work closely with my clients Housing's fire works and maintenance contractors to develop and deliver high-quality services.

Senior Compliance Officer (Fire)

£45573 - £48836 per annum Additional Benefits

MMP Consultancy currently have an opportunity for a Senior Compliance Officer (Fire) to join a local authority based in Godalming, Surrey.

My client are offering a salary range of £45,573 - £48,836p/a Benefits.

Working location- Onsite/Office some Hybrid.

Purpose Of The Role:

  • The Housing Services authoritive person for all aspects of fire safety and prevention.
  • Identify and document both current and potential strategic and operational fire risks, continually review, fire strategy, policy and processes to reduce, or eliminate these risks
  • Plan and manage project works that arise from Fire Risk Assessments including fire door replacements programmes and compartmental projects both in Senior Living Schemes, communal areas and general housing stock
  • Manage the Compliance Officer (Fire) Supporting them to lead on the FRA's, Fire Door Inspections and communal fire safety works and complete actions as required.

Main Duties:

  • Manage the delivery of fire safety works on time, within budget and to high quality standards.
  • To be responsible for all aspects of contract management and administration including day to day oversight of work in progress, building robust relationships with our contractors and consultants to deliver high-quality cost-effective works
  • Work with specialist consultants and contractors to provide detailed fire related specifications of work in order to deliver work packages of remedial and investment schemes
  • Provide professional technical support and expertise on fire risk and safety, not only to colleagues in Property Services, but the wider Housing and Council services
  • Provide guidance, support and when relevant complete fire safety checks and measures for the senior living and communal living schemes
  • Liaise with professional bodies and stakeholders such as the Fire Service or Building control to ensure adherence to all regulations and legislation is current.
  • Offer support and advice to our residents and leaseholders on fire safety or assist in the resolution of complex issues.
  • Design and deliver in house training for staff, contractors and consultants on fire safety in order to support the delivery of an improved fire safety culture.
  • Undertake procurement required in line with the Council's Contract Procurement Rules and Financial Regulations.
  • Produce regular management information reports and KPI data to inform on performance and identify areas for service improvement.
  • Ensure that all compliance records and management systems are current and updated, ensuring adherence with data protection and GDPR requirements.
  • Liaise closely with Service Improvement Data Officer and Housing Assets to ensure information is provided to central Asset Management Systems and compliance Software where applicable
  • Attend meetings to represent the Council as required.

Contract Management

  • Lead on all contract management duties including monitoring budgets against spend, performance management, contract delivery and progression to ensure best value for money and quality works.
  • Manage associated specialist consultants and external contract administration to ensure quality audit, sign off and certification
  • Chair operational and strategic group meetings for all owned contracts.
  • Monitor contractual terms and conditions for contracts and projects, working with contractors to resolve issues or escalating to Compliance Manger as necessary.
  • Provide subject matter lead on legislation, ensuring updates or changes are reflected in the Council's policies and procedures in a timely manner

Areas of Accountability:

  • Ensure policies, procedures and management plans are regularly reviewed and updated to ensure meet best practice and regulation/legislation.
  • Produce remedial works actions plans to manage and mitigate risks highlighted in Fire Risk Assessments
  • Manage the delivery of schemes of work to ensure that the are within budget, on time and of a high quality standard * Undertake contract administration and contract management

MMP Consultancy is seeking a Property Data Asset Manager for a permanent vacancy on behalf of a social housing organisation in Kent. Permanent salary £47,000 per annum.

About the Role

Our property asset data is the foundation for the delivery of our long-term asset management strategy commitments and objectives. The Asset Performance Team supports this by compiling and maintaining asset data, providing performance information, and ensuring that the decisions we make on our portfolio are based on sound accurate data.

Key Duties:

* Will enjoy working with data and translating these into intelligence that supports our objectives of providing safe and decent homes to our customers.

* Will be the owner of the property asset data and will oversee the management of the Asset Information team. This involves the collection, management, and administration of all property data, supporting the delivery of our long-term investment planning, capital works, and reporting on the day-to-day repairs and building safety/compliance delivery activities.

* Will work across functions to ensure a joined-up approach to how we use and translate data into customer service intelligence.

* Play a key role in supporting the Asset Management team by building data processes and reports relating to the performance of the property functions to ensure the optimisation of performance across the portfolio.

* Collecting, validating, inputting, manipulating, extracting, and analysing asset data.
* Ensure that an accurate computerised Asset Management system is maintained at all times, including the quality assurance and integrity of the data, ensuring all data quality risks are mitigated.

Essential Experience:

* Good general education or equivalent experience
* High level knowledge of information collection management, and reporting systems with an ability to manipulate complex management information/data (within the social housing sector)
* Good written and verbal communication skills with an ability to present and discuss technical matters in plain English/lay terms.
* Ability to work unsupervised and manage workloads and multiple deadlines.
* Basic understanding of PowerBi, and similar reporting media, and willingness to develop knowledge and skills.

MMP Consultancy is seeking a Disrepair Manager for a permanent vacancy on behalf of a social housing organisation in Kent. Permanent salary £54,000 per annum.

About the Role

You will provide operational lead to the effective management and most significantly proactive reduction of disrepair and damp and mould cases within our properties. You will ensure lessons are learnt from cases and incorporated into our policies and procedures.

Key Duties:

* Act as Lead Officer, for investigating and defending disrepair/EPA cases, working in conjunction with the legal team to oversee cases relating to the Defective Premises Act, Section 11 of the Landlord and Tenant Act and Fitness for Human Habitation Act

* Ensure regular review of changes to legislation.

* Oversee the resolution of a caseload of routine, complex and potentially sensitive legal cases, including advice on repair obligations, staff training, and reporting to the Building Safety Task Force and Leadership Group.

* Responsible for ensuring that all disrepair legal reports, surveys, documentation, data and supporting evidence etc is properly collated in the required formats and presented to legal representatives within required strict timescales.

* Act as Lead Officer for Damp & Mould developing our strategy, data management and handling of cases alongside training and developing staff in the day-to-day management.

* Driving excellent customer service and sound commercial decision-making and taking responsibility for making things happen.

* Maintain clear up-to-date records of all cases, ensuring trends and root causes are identified to drive the proactive approach to reducing disrepair cases and incidents of dampness and mould.

* Complaint handler for damp and mould, disrepair, and pest cases

* Contracts Manager for consultants and contractors supporting the delivery of the service ensuring KPIs and objectives and being met through regular performance meetings.

* Draft reports for management including risk logs keeping managers aware at all times of the financial risk each case imposes and keeping budgetary information on each case always ensuring value for money.

£325 - £350 per day Umbrella (Experience related)

MMP Consultancy currently have an opportunity for a Damp and Mould Surveyor to join a housing association based out of Leicestershire paying £325-£350 P/Day Umbrella (D.O.E)

This will be a temporary position paying on a 6 -9-month interim contract with the option to be extended or to go temp to perm after this period.

The role will see you being based out of the Leicestershire office covering a patch between either Leicester- Nottingham or Leicester - Northampton,

The WFH Split is 1-day P/W in the office, 4 days P/W on inspections/at home.

The Role:

  • To contribute to the successful delivery and completion of damp, mould and disrepair works within a new dedicated team within the Assets department.
  • To carry out your role efficiently and effectively, ensure property inspections and works are delivered to a high standard, meeting our service standards whilst providing excellent customer experience and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Job Purpose:

  • To project manage damp, mould and disrepair works from inception through to completion including diagnosing, specifying; procuring and monitoring.
  • Ensure effective solutions for managing and reducing the causes of damp and mould are identified, which will include building repairs, installing mechanical ventilation and humidity control systems, and by providing clear advice to residents to help them understand the causes of damp and mould and behaviours that will reduce humidity in their homes.
  • Undertake contractor administration duties as required including reviewing Bills of Quantities, Schedules of Works, Specifications and all contract documentation, ensuring that these comply with the project brief and timescales, budget estimates, all relevant legislation, health and safety regulations and policies.
  • To effectively manage contractors, carrying out and managing the quality inspection process of works, including pre-start scoping, work in progress quality inspections and post inspection sign-offs.
  • Maintain CRM and systems recording progress of the works to ensure information is accurate and up to date, providing regular project updates to the senior management team.
  • Certifying contractor valuations and claims within this role's delegated authority limits, including interim and final account payment.
  • Work closely with our Resident Liaison Officer to ensure customers are informed of progress at all stages, the works offer excellent customer experience and high levels of customer satisfaction.

This will be a 6 Month FTC paying £40,482 P/A Plus Benefits.

Job Purpose:

  • To provide technical surveying across a geographical portfolio of properties and contract management for a defined planned maintenance programme across the region.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of the vision, Corporate Strategy, culture and organisational effectiveness.

The Role:

  • Planned maintenance delivery through external contractors.
  • Minor works.
  • Refurbishment works.
  • Planned, repairs & void surveying.
  • Health and Safety work such as fire safety programmes.
  • Work to home owners, leaseholders and market rent customers.
  • The Surveyors will have responsibility for providing surveying activities and contract administration duties for all maintenance services within their portfolio regions. Surveyors will be assigned major works and cyclical programmes to deliver and allocated a geographical patch that is aligned to a housing neighbourhood officer (where possible). They will be responsible for surveying any void properties, surveying repairs that have be requested by customers, post inspections, identifying all communal repairs and ensuring these are managed through to completion. Decisions made at this level include:-

    1. Identify works require to a void to meet my clients lettable standard.
    2. Undertake domestic and commercial building surveys to provide advice on matters such as construction defects, disrepair and dilapidations.

* Hit weekly and monthly targets regarding equity loan &/or staircasing completions.
* Handle customer inquiries (by telephone, email, post) in a professional and supportive manner, displaying product knowledge.
* Read and interpret leases/equity mortgages and give effective advice to customers and other key internal and external stakeholders regarding all Staircasing/Equity Loans activities.
* Log all customer contacts, maintaining accurate records using the appropriate database and case management systems.
* Collate audit compliant application packs, carry out relevant checks on shared owners if cash sums are to be used, and follow anti-money laundering procedures.
