Job Description

I am currently recruiting for a Plumber to join an Estates Maintenance team within the NHS in North West London. Your role includes maintaining mechanical systems, ensuring safety compliance, and providing technical expertise. The role will be working a minimum of 37.5 hours per week, earning £24 per hour (Umbrella). The successful candidate will be required to work on a call out rota which will be one in every three weeks.

Responsibilities:

  • General Maintenance
  • Flushing blockages
  • Repairing broken or faulty equipment
  • Testing equipment and systems
  • Improvements and installations
  • Perform reactive, routine, and preventative maintenance and testing
  • Testing, fault finding, and repairs on plumbing fixtures and equipment, including water pipes, thermostatic mixing valves, sprinkler systems, sinks, toilets, showers, water filtration plant,
  • Emergency water bypass systems, and drainage systems


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Relevant experience.
  • Basic DBS Check
  • City & Guilds certificate or NVQ Level 2/3.

Electrician

Up to £25 per hour

Carpenter

Role Details:

A great new opportunity has arisen for an Fire Operative / Carpenter to join a housing provider based in West London on a temporary ongoing basis, paying £238.18 per day (Umbrella).

The successful Carpenter will be required to have previous fire-stopping and compartmentation experience installation and maintenance experience within social housing properties.

Day Rate:
* £238.18 Per Day (umbrella rate)

The Fire Door Carpenter will be required to complete:

* Fire Stopping
* Compartmentation
* Fit FD-rated fire doors and door sets
* Repair and maintain fire doors
* Complete fire door servicing
* Fire Safety Repairs & Maintenance
* Multi Trade Skills
* Second fix carpentry
* Have social housing experience

Plasterer

Up to £20.00 per hour

MMP is currently recruiting for a Plasterer to join a Social Housing contractor based in North London and North West London on a temporary basis paying £20 per hour CIS.

The successful Trades Operative will be required too:
· Complete repairs and maintenance within occupied and void properties as well as associated works
· Be customer focused
· Work towards tight deadlines
· Have social housing experience

Pay Rate:
· £20.00ph (CIS or umbrella rate)

Hours:
· 42.5 hours per week (Mon to Fri) 8am - 17:00pm with an half hour break

Qualifications Required:
· Recognised trade qualification i.e. City and Guilds/ NVQ (certificate must be available to provide)
· Asbestos Awareness (may be completed anytime prior to start date)
· Basic DBS Check

You will be supplied with:
· A van (Full UK Manual Driving License Required, maximum 6 points)

Planned Works Supervisor

Up to £30.00 per hour


A great new opportunity has arisen for a Planned Works Supervisor to join a social housing provider on a temporary to permanent basis based in North West London. The successful candidate will be supplied with a van and fuel card.
Pay Rate:

  • £30ph (umbrella rate)


Duties and responsibilities:

  • Excellent knowledge of Planned repairs and maintenance services in housing, to include building regulations, legislation, health & safety, best practice, and Schedule of rate codes (SOR).
  • HHSRS and General damp, structural and building diagnostic knowledge (minimum 5 years).
  • Carry out inspections on their own to diagnose findings.
  • Manage the delivery of Planned repair works - identifying repairs, faults and issues , scoping and raising specifications, technical advice, monitoring progress on and off-site, raising orders and approving/rejecting variations on SOR codes, undertaking pre, mid and post-inspections, managing work in progress (WIP), expenditure and key performance indicators (KPIs) within agreed parameters.
  • Line-manage a team of sub-contractors and operatives, overseeing their performance, inspecting their work, and providing accurate technical advice to resolve day-to-day issues.
  • To complete additional tasks to support the effective operation of the Planned team and/or other teams within the business. This may include but is not limited to handling internal/external queries, preparing documents and reports, and completing activities for pre-site meetings, checking for Asbestos surveys (or similar surveys), supporting the team to cover annual leave, training, or sickness.
  • IT experience of the use of computer, tablet, and PDA.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Strong inter-personal organisational skills, with the ability to manage priorities.
  • Self-motivated, ownership of works with can do attitude.
  • Team player.
  • Excellent customer service.
