Job Description

Job Title: Multi Skilled Estates Engineer (Electrical Bias)

Location: Coventry CV1

Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday: 8 - 4:30)

Rate: £29,342.85 to £31,134.88

Responsibilities:

* To participate in the provision of an Estates service primarily undertaking day-to-day repairs, planned maintenance, installation, and minor improvements.
* Carry out PPM work in accordance with Estates schedules and accepted good working practices to ensure safe and reliable maintenance services.
* Where appropriate, carry out fault diagnosis and repairs to the colleges installations and plant, including HVAC, and hot and cold-water systems to maintain a safe and reliable serviceTo provide supervision and training where required to other estates staff and contractors as HTMs.
* Where instructed, install and test new installations in accordance with the current standards, good industry practice and standards.
* To carry out any necessary mechanical engineering tests or measurements, in compliance with accepted standards, good industry practice and the Estates Department schedule of inspection.
* Heating, Ventilation and Gas Safety policy and associated management procedures are strictly adhered to.
* Where appropriate, carry out repairs to the Colleges installations and plant, including Fire doors, access control door locks, windows and furniture repairs.
* To assist in key holder duties i.e. be a point of contact out of hours, via the remote monitoring contractor in the event of alarm activation.
* Occasional out of hours and weekend work if required.
* Record work information as required for operation of the CMMS system.
* Be able to read, understand and work from engineering and architectural drawings.
* Wear the appropriate protective clothing and footwear, uniforms, safety wear and equipment as deemed appropriate to the job and as required by the Maintenance Supervisor.
* Where appropriate, to become fully conversant with the function of all plumbing/mechanical/electrical systems within the remit of the Estates Department.

    MMP Consultancy currently has an opportunity for a Strategic Options Appraisal Surveyor to join a housing association based out of the West Midlands.

    This will be a Permanent position paying £52,500 P/A Plus Benefits.

    The Role:

    • To work alongside the Head of Assets and Sustainability to be responsible for the development of the options appraisal programme and the setting of targets for poorly performing stock.
    • To ensure a comprehensive asset review and options appraisals process across my clients asset portfolio.

    Job Purpose:

    • Coordinate all activities to maintain, update and verify the Asset Performance Evaluation (APE) model to ensure my client can review all assets appropriately, using existing data, ensuring my client can utilise the model to best advantage.
    • Manage stock condition surveying workstream and create flexible capacity to deliver stock condition surveys at scale (internally or externally sourced).
    • Assist with the collection, validation, and analysis of stock condition data necessary to implement our asset management strategy.
