Job Description

MMP Consultancy are currently recruiting for a Floor Layer to join one of their Social Housing Contractor clients. This role will be on a temporary to permanent basis paying £23.00 per hour (umbrella rate) and the permanent salary paying up to £36,000 per annum with a van and fuel card supplied. This role will be covering Dorset, Wiltshire and surrounding areas.

This is a temp to perm role in which the temporary period will be 3 months and then there will be a view for the candidate to be made permanent.

This role is Mon - Fri 8:00am - 16:30pm.

The main duties of the Floor Layer will be completing repairs and maintenance within Social Housing properties both occupied and void.

- Excellent in Floor Laying and have experience with polysafe/vinyl flooring, cap and cove and welding

- Experience within a Social Housing environment (desirable)

- You will be supplied with a van & fuel card, tools and PPE

A basic DBS check will also be carried out.

    Up to £44254.00 per annum


    A new opportunity has arisen for a Gas & Heating Engineer to join a housing provider based in Witney, Oxfordshire on a permanent basis paying £44,254 per annum Van & Fuel Card. The successful candidate will be experienced in completing repairs and maintenance on boilers and heating systems.

    You will be required to:

    * Servicing Boilers
    * Boiler Breakdowns
    * Repairs to heating systems
    * Complete multi-skilled plumbing and heating repairs within tenants' properties
    * Any other plumbing related repairs we may need completed.
    * Ensure records are maintained accurately when using electronic device or paperwork
    * Have great communication skills with colleagues and tenants
    * Participate in the out of hours team

    Qualifications required:
    * City and Guilds or NVQ level NVQ 2 or an equivalent level qualification in Plumbing
    * CCN1 & Gas Boilers, Cookers, Fires
    * G3 Hot Water
    * Full Driving Licence

  • Multi Trade Roofer
    Up to £21 per hour

    A great opportunity has arisen for a Multi Trade Roofer to work for a social housing contractor in the West of Essex on a temporary basis. My client is looking for an experienced individual with a background in social housing.

    Pay Rate:

    * £21.00ph (umbrella rate)

    You will be required to:

    * Carry out to the highest standard all aspects of Roofing repairs and maintenance installations.

    Including but not limited to:

    * Trace and repair leaks to roofs. (Leak detection)
    * Renew Tiles and slates (small areas)
    * Carry out repairs and maintenance to guttering and rainwater downpipes and test gullies and report back findings. (Including using Sky vac).
    * Scaffold inspections.
    * Flashing repairs and renewals
    * Asphalt repairs - Hot gun and trowel
    * Felt repairs.
