Job Overview

MMP Consultancy are looking to recruit a Fleet Manager to work with a fantastic housing provider based in London. This is initially a temporary contract, which offers hybrid working.

The Fleet Manager will be responsible for ensuring the vehicle fleet is managed and maintained to support operations in the most efficient way possible. Ensuring compliance with health and safety, and procurement process. The Fleet Manager will be responsible for meeting regularly with supervisors and heads of service to discuss ways to meet or exceed corporate goals, assisting to manage the budget for all fleet cost such as leases, petrol, repairs etc.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate, administer and monitor the maintenance, repair, replacement and logistics of company vehicles
• Contract Management
• Project Management
• Conduct analysis of vehicle status and make recommendations for timely replacement, including
• type of vehicles, spares etc. in order to improve cost-efficiency
• Identifying new systems and process to ensure a better utilisation of the fleet and provide VfM
• Develop relationships with all stakeholders
• Monitor performance to achieve agreed KPIs and objectives
• Provide recommendations for lowering vehicle-operating expenses and reduce idle time of vehicles
• Work closely with the operations team to find ways to reduce downtime due to repairs or lack of routine maintenance
• Developing, implementing and enforcing vehicle management best practices, policies and
• procedures
• Line management responsibilities
• Monitoring the cost information to identify future business efficiencies
• Working with finance on budget plans, and helping to implement policies and procedures to help with better identification of costs
• Working with procurement on designing proposals for fleet providers and assisting with the tender process.
• Prepare fleet reports as required
• Monitor drivers’ behaviour and work with the H&S department to ensure and improve drivers’ safety

Experience Required:
• Previous Fleet Manager experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Understanding of vehicle systems and technology
• Full UK driving licence
• Experience of working within the housing/property sector is desirable

  • Hourly rate: £ 28.00 - £37.00
