    Job Purpose:

    • To manage a case load of resident complaints relating to a variety of different housing issues that may arise. Liaise with complainants, contractors and different business streams to deliver effective, customer focussed outcomes to complaints.
    • To deliver the complaint handling targets of responding to the complaint and ensuring that we are compliant with our Complaints policy and the Housing Ombudsman Complaint Handling Code.

    As a Technical Supervisor within their wider repairs & maintenance division, you will supervise a team and be responsible for overseeing and monitoring the performance of trades operatives and where applicable any specialist sub-contractors, monitoring closely compliance, performance and client satisfaction.

    About the Role
    Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, the Technical Supervisors will work collaboratively with other colleagues across the business and within the designated service (either Disrepair or D&M) from first report through to final invoicing to ensure smooth service delivery through effective day to day management. You'll be responsible for people management of a team, so people management experience is a must.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Liaising with the works scheduling team and sub-contractors to ensure accuracy of job information, timely report submissions, suitable allocation of work, and invoicing.

    Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

    • Trade specific qualification(s) e.g. in plumbing, carpentry, electrical, or a repairs sector common trade.
    • Good IT literacy (including MS Office programmes (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and ability to use relevant job management systems (knowledge of accuserv system would be advantageous)
    • Specialist knowledge/qualifications/qualifying experience of Damp & Mould and/or Legal Disrepair is essential.

  • Supporting the SDM by providing data, reports and MI (e.g. for quality control and budgetary data).
  • Stakeholder and people management: performance monitoring, attend monthly sub-contractor meetings, liaising with internal and external customers such as legal departments, client representatives, local authorities etc.
  • Managing the day-to-day administration of the team.
  • Attending client/stakeholder panels, consultations, and other meetings.
  • Pro-actively engaging with and acting a point of contact for customers, ensuring all queries and complaints are resolved swiftly.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Trade specific qualification(s) e.g. in plumbing, carpentry, electrical, or a repairs sector common trade.
  • Good IT literacy (including MS Office programmes (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and ability to use relevant job management systems (knowledge of accuserv system would be advantageous)
  • Specialist knowledge/qualifications/qualifying experience of Damp & Mould and/or Legal Disrepair is essential.
  • Prior experience in a Supervisory role (ideally within a responsive repairs/minor works environment).
  • Prior management of specialist sub-contractors would be preferred.
  • Full clean UK driving licence

  • Starting from £45,000 (DOE) benefits

  • Full Time - 36 hours per week
  • Location - Dagenham
  • Travel - The role will involve travel to sites within and around the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, as such a full clean UK driving licence is required.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Multi Trade Operative work for a Contractor based in East London on a permanent basis offering a salary of £36,000. The successful Multi Trade Candidate will be able to work in occupied properties carrying out reactive repairs.

Location:
* East London and Essex.

Working hours
* 08:00am to 17:00pm

You will be required to:
* Multi Trade to complete a variety of trades.
* Carry out repairs and maintenance within social housing properties, occupied.
* Provide your own basic hand and power tools.
* Have experience working within social housing properties.

You will be supplied with:
* Company van
* Fuel card

You must:
* Have use of a smartphone. Jobs will be supplied via an App, BYOD paid at £20.00 a month.
